Charissa is passionate to see individuals, couples, and families renew their identities, cultivate healthy relationships, and gain tools for lasting change and influence. She desires to come alongside each client in their journey with a posture of empathy, acceptance, pragmatism, and partnership.
Charissa’s areas of interest include working with individuals who are experiencing identity issues, cultural issues, life transitions, relational struggles, spiritual issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She is passionate about family systems work and brings experience coming alongside couples in crisis and parent-adolescent relationships. With a focus on attachment, mindfulness, and emotional regulation, Charissa is certified as a Level 2 Restoration Therapist (RT) and is training to become an RT consultant. Her work with clients is collaborative and also incorporates Internal Family Systems and Psychodynamic theory.
As a former campus minister, Charissa is passionate about the intersections of mental health, faith, and social justice. She has empowered young adults of diverse ethnic, cultural, and regional backgrounds in their various contexts. Charissa also has a heart for pastors/ministry staff, families in ministry, and pastor’s kids.
