Biography: Bruce is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who received his Masters of Science degree from California State University, Fullerton. He enjoys working with individuals, couples, and adolescents. Bruce has experience coming alongside clients struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, attachment injuries, and mental disorders. He is passionate about strengthening marriages and helping couples overcome relationship difficulties, including the devastation of infidelity. Bruce and his wife of 36 years volunteer as life group leaders and hospitality hosts at their church, where Bruce serves as community pastor. In his counseling, Bruce endeavors to provide a nurturing, non-judgmental environment where clients receive encouragement and support as they work through the challenging issues of their lives.
Biography: Colleen is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, with her master’s degree in psychology at Brandman University. She earned her bachelor’s degree from University of California Irvine. Colleen is passionate about helping kids of all ages, preschool through college. She is also attentive to the needs of parents and the trials that come with raising children. Colleen’s areas of special interest include depression, anxiety, and life on the autism spectrum.
Biography: Corynne Keirnes is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a master’s degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. She enjoys working with teens, college students, individuals, and couples as they work through emotional and relational struggles. Corynne is experienced in the areas of anxiety, depression, and marital and family distress. She is a certified Prepare and Enrich Facilitator and enjoys working with both engaged and married couples as they face challenges in relationship.
Biography: Emily Kirkbride is passionate about people thriving in their relationships and daily lives, specifically individual growth that takes place in community and relationship with others. She has her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Emily works with individuals, couples, families, and groups to move a person toward holistic health and well-being. Emily has worked extensively with young adults and adolescents. She specializes in life transitions, women’s issues, eating disorders, grief, trauma and issues that arise around parenting, sexuality, and spirituality.
Biography: Jennifer Thompson is a licensed marriage and family therapist that enjoys working with families and individuals, including children, adolescents and college age. Her previous experience includes working with special needs (autism, aspergers, down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, mental retardation) children/adolescents and their families. She also has training in Prepare/Enrich and EMDR. She has been involved in children’s ministry through the church she attends for several years. Jennifer is passionate about her work and coming alongside those in need to provide hope and healing.
Biography: Mark is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has an extensive background in foster care, a field that focuses heavily on early childhood trauma and abuse, as well as attachment difficulties. This has spurred a strong interest working with children and families who are currently suffering from these issues. Mark also works with adults whose relationships, marriages and personal lives continue to be impacted by these same critical developmental experiences, compromising their ability to experience love and freedom more fully.
Biography: Mike is a licensed marriage and family therapist, he completed his masters degree at Asusa Pacific University and four years of doctoral studies at California Graduate Institute. His professional experience spans 34 years including: Directing a Counseling Center; teaching graduate psychology courses at Cal. State Fullerton; Private Practice; and ‘being on staff as Pastor of Care, Counseling and Recovery at a local Church. He and his wife of 35 years, joyfully serve at a local church. Mike is involved in teaching and training Stephen Ministers, leading support groups, consulting with church staff as they encounter difficult personal and ministry challenges.
Biography: Ryan is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who completed his master’s in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Biola University with minors in Biblical Studies and Christian Ministries. Ryan has nearly six years of experience working with children in ministry and group environments. In these settings he has gained experience with family conflict, anxiety, relationship and spiritual problems as well as grief and loss. Ryan is passionate about inspiring positive change in individuals, couples, and families in a way that helps to facilitate strong relationships.
Biography: Stephanie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Biola University and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. She is passionate about journeying alongside adults and adolescents as they experience the difficulties of life transitions and discover who they truly are. People often find themselves in painful relational patterns and spaces of internal suffering that hinder them from living the fulfilled life they desire. Stephanie believes that deeply exploring oneself from a holistic and creative posture is what allows people to authentically live in the freedom of who God called each of them to be. She believes that while many of us experience pain as a result of relational wounds, it is only within the context of relationship that true healing can be felt. Stephanie utilizes a Psychodynamic and relational approach, but incorporates other treatment modalities to cater to the uniqueness of each client. She enjoys working with people who suffer with the following issues: depression, anxiety, stage of life concerns, attachment issues, early childhood trauma, sexuality, spirituality, and relationship distress.
Biography: Susan Underwood is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her master’s degree from Hope International University. Susan works with couples, individuals and families who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship issues. Susan is certified in Prepare and Enrich, which is a system that helps premarital and married couples understand each other from their individual blueprints. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) which she implements when working with trauma recovery and relationship injuries. She has also worked with women and children in a ministry setting for the past 15 years. Susan is passionate about helping her clients achieve positive change and a sense of wholeness in their lives.
Biography: Tanya Ward is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Masters of Science Degree from Vanguard University. She works with clients on a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, marital problems, reactive attachment disorder, Play Therapy and parent-child relationships. Tanya also works with couples going through infertility, miscarriage or traumatic birth experiences. She is EMDR trained to work with trauma and is a certified Prepare/Enrich Counselor for premarital therapy.
Tanya offers short-term and long-term therapy for children, adolescents, couples, families and adult individuals. She is passionate about working with children, adolescents and their parents in helping them navigate the difficult developmental stages and transitions and help create a healthy attachment in the process.
