About Mike

Throughout his career, Mike has specialized in providing spiritual care and psychological support to children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. He collaborates with his clients to create a safe and welcoming space where they are heard and understood in a way that leads to increased hope and healing.

Prior to pursuing his MA in Clinical Counseling, MFT at Azusa Pacific University, he served 12 years in pastoral ministry in two churches and as the Director of Community and Church Relations at Biola University for 18 years. He is also a trained Spiritual Director who sees direction clients on his own and at the Center for Spiritual Renewal at Biola University. Mike has taught graduate courses in theology, spiritual formation, and marriage and family therapy at Biola’s Talbot School of Theology and School of Education, and at Vanguard University’s Graduate School of Clinical Psychology.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Mike offers a safe and supportive space for individuals, couples, and families to explore a & process their pain and challenges. He specializes in his work with clients who are dealing with the crises and disruption that comes from anxiety and depression, grief and loss, and identity issues. His work also provides support for those dealing with family conflict, boundary issues, infidelity, divorce recovery, spiritual issues, trauma and abuse, including religious trauma and abuse.
