Wednesday, May 1st  |  9:00am-3:30pm

Calvary Church of Santa Ana

1010 N Tustin Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92705

(Fellowship Hall)

Registration is now open for our upcoming ministry training with Dr. Mark Yarhouse. Mark is an author, researcher, clinician, and professor, serving as both the Rosemarie S. Hughes Endowed Chair of Christian Thought in Mental Health Practice and Co-Director of the Institute for the Study of Sexual Identity at Regent University in Virginia. In this training, Mark will examine the issue of gender from a number of perspectives, inviting thought and conversation on the implications for our care efforts within our churches and communities.

Here are some questions we’ll explore:

  • What does the Bible say about gender?
  • What does science have to say/offer?
  • What is the current cultural climate/narrative?
  • How do our attitudes and beliefs about gender impact ministry?
  • What does care look like inside and outside of the church?
  • When and how do we refer?
