2020 has been a year filled with countless challenges. For the past 8 months, we’ve battled unknown, and unseen enemies … and, along the way, we’ve often found ourselves battling one another, both within, and outside of the Church. Faced with a pandemic that stripped us of much that we knew and was familiar, evoking grief that many of us struggled to process … followed by months of uncertainty, civil unrest, and divisiveness. It’s fair to say that we are fragmented and prone to polarize and blame, leaving us more isolated and alone. In the midst, what so many of us long for…to belong, to be known…is going unfulfilled.
In this virtual CIFT Ministry Forum, Dr. Derek McNeil, along with a panel of local pastors and ministry leaders, will help us explore how we can avoid the temptation to turn against, or away from, the “other” and, rather, engage them in their different-ness. We’ll examine the topic of tribalism, exploring what it might means to be the Body of Christ, a diverse representation of giftings, callings and communities.
