Dr. Elizabeth Rocha understands how deeply people need to experience being heard and valued. She provides a safe space to share about one’s pain, anger, hopes, and fears, and holds deep regard for the trust placed in her as she walks alongside others on their journey to wholeness. Dr. Rocha is most passionate about helping others increase self-awareness and practice self-care in the midst of our busy and demanding lives. She ultimately desires to see others embody their authentic selves with freedom, confidence, and love, and to enjoy greater honesty and intimacy in loving relationships.

As a therapist, Dr. Rocha desires to assist those feeling overwhelmed or “stuck” in their lives. She takes a holistic approach in understanding wellness – examining the mind-body relationship in a developmental context, such as family history, medical history, social history, the school/work environment, and spiritual concerns. Dr. Rocha is experienced in assisting people with problems of depression and/or anxiety to better regulate their emotions and to cope with ongoing stress. She is adept with handling problems stemming from abuse, trauma, relational issues, acculturation, grief/loss, and identity/spiritual issues. She enjoys helping couples better understand their attachment needs and guiding them through challenging times of marital distress due to high conflict, infidelity, problems with fertility, and/or sexual dysfunction.  Among many tools, Dr. Rocha utilizes Gottman Method Couples Therapy in her work and offers support to families seeking help with parenting, domestic violence, divorce, and remarriage. Overall, Dr. Rocha strives to meet others in their present pain and offer hope for a better future.
