Empowering Christian leaders to respond to the mental health needs of their local communities through support, education and training.
As Christian leaders and educators, you are often called upon to be the first to respond to the local crises and mental health needs of those in your care. At times, those needs can outweigh your experience, training or capacity; leaving you feeling ill-equipped and/or under-resourced. Our goal through CIFT Equip is to partner with you in these seasons, teaming with you with tools, resources and trainings, empowering you to better assess and triage the most common mental health issues being brought to you; enabling you to meet people where they are, caring for them in their time of need.
Support During COVID-19
The COVID-19 outbreak is causing all of us to live and function differently, an experience that is true at the Center for Individual and Family Counseling (CIFT), too. Like the CIFT team, pastors have been pressed into new areas of creative communication and flexibility, characteristics critically necessary in these unprecedented times.
We recognize that you are on the front lines, caring for those whose lives are in upheaval as a result of the loss of community, employment furlough or termination, and the general uncertainty that we all face.
CIFT was created for the very purpose of assisting the Church, and this is an important time for our organization to provide help to church leaders like you. With that in mind, we have created a series of short videos (more will be added) covering a variety of mental health topics to guide you as you assist those who come to you.

Other Ministry Support Initiatives
One of our core missions at CIFT is to support the local church, its pastors and leaders. We seek to accomplish this not only through offering experienced, affordable, Christian therapy but also through ongoing Ministry Support initiatives.
Caregivers need care too. Our therapists understand the pressures of ministry and desire to support you. Help comes in three primary ways: (1) reduced fee therapy for individuals in ministry and their families; (3) Soul Care groups for men in ministry, women in ministry, and spouses offered at no cost; and (3) consultation on ministry issues in our areas of expertise.
Typically offered in the spring and fall, our forums are intended to help pastors, and those serving in ministry, to thrive. Well-known speakers tackle issues of the heart, providing road maps for both successful ministry and healthy living. Forum attendance is free, as is the book we plan to place in your hand.
