Sarah Millwee-Welch, PhD, PA
Office: Santa Ana, Costa Mesa
Sarah has a deep passion for coming alongside her clients to understand how their unique histories contribute to who they are today. She understands that while this can be difficult, this understanding can help bring about self-awareness, meaningful healing, and purposeful change. Sarah strives to cultivate a warm, safe, and supportive space for the people that she works with to invite exploration of various aspects of identity, past and current relationships, and difficult life experiences.
Sarah works with people that come to therapy with a broad range of issues, including difficulties surrounding identity development, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, sexual identity development, historical childhood trauma, relationship difficulties, and issues related to spirituality. She works primarily from an attachment based psychodynamic framework, which deeply values the understanding of people’s significant experiences during childhood and significant relationships in their lives. Her aim is to aid her clients in understanding themselves in a deep and holistic way, in which they can both honor their story, while continuing toward meaningful growth and change in their futures.
