Kenneth D. Davis, PhD, PA
Offices: Santa Ana, Los Alamitos
Dr. Davis believes that it is only within an open and accepting relationship with another that the wounds of life’s traumas can start to be experienced in a new and healing way. With each of his clients, Dr. Davis seeks to create a deeply meaningful relationship in which authenticity, openness, and curiosity serve as the hallmarks of the therapeutic interaction. His approach to therapy involves helping people take account of how their unique histories have shaped their perceptions of themselves within the world so that the possibility of new ways of perceiving and relating can be explored and accommodated.
Dr. Davis has had a broad range of clinical experience working with various client populations in a diversity of settings, and has developed a passion for working with individuals and couples with histories of childhood sexual and physical abuse, military veterans and their families, and pastoral and ministry staff. He additionally works with individuals suffering from PTSD, dissociative disorders, depression, social and generalized anxiety, phase-of-life and adjustment issues, interpersonal and marital conflict, substance use problems, self-harm, sexual issues and addiction, attachment disorders, and issues related to spiritual and religious identity.
