Richard is especially passionate about working with those who are experiencing family and relational struggles, marital issues, depression, anxiety, spiritual issues, and life transitions. Through many different roles throughout his career, Mike has provided pastoral care and support to children, adolescents, individual, couples, and families. He works with his clients to create a safe and welcoming space where people can be heard and understood in a way that leads to increased hope and healing.

 

Prior to pursuing his MA in Clinical Counseling: MFT at Azusa Pacific University, he served 12 years in pastoral ministry in two churches and as Director of Community and Church Relations at Biola University for the past 17 years. He is also a Spiritual Director at the Center for Spiritual Renewal at Biola University. Mike has also taught courses in theology and spiritual formation at Talbot School of Theology and Biola’s School of Education.

 

As an MFT Trainee, Mike offers support and works with clients in the areas of anxiety and depression, grief and loss, identity issues, couples counseling, family conflict, divorce recovery, spiritual issues, trauma and abuse.

Knowing how life can bring a variety of circumstances, Barnaby hopes to walk with people through its challenges so that they can undergo healing and growth. Barnaby earned his doctoral and master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology, Biola University (an APA accredited program). He has worked in various settings including residential treatment, partial hospitalization, community mental health, and school districts, with an emphasis in working with youth and families. He has experience in working with individuals who face trauma, depression, anxiety, and family conflict, providing tools to cope as well as space to process and explore these issues.

Paul is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who moved back to Orange County from Portland, Oregon, where he received his Master’s of Arts in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from George Fox University. Paul is married with three kids, and has volunteered for years in high school, college, and young marrieds groups, as well as in worship bands. Paul enjoys working with couples, families, and individuals struggling in the different places that come up in life - including family conflicts, relationship struggles, and many different personal issues. Paul has always had a soft spot for adolescent young men and their families. His hopes are to assist people in finding healing, understanding, grace, and hope, and through that finding peace.

Jim is the founder and CEO of CIFT. He has served as an Army Chaplain for 20 years, a pastor for 9 years and has been the founder and director of CIFT for more than 20 years.
