Rachael feels a calling to work with those who are suffering, and is passionate about supporting and guiding her clients in reaching their full potential. She has a heart for helping people better understand themselves while improving their lives and relationships. Rachael strongly respects her clients, and values connecting to their unique stories. She volunteered at Salvation Army’s drug rehabilitation center for two years, has facilitated anger management, grief, and process groups, and has extensive experience working with children in a variety of settings. Her overseas work with orphans strengthened her passion for struggling children. Rachael has special interest in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and shame. She is Level Two trained in EMDR, an empirically effective method for treating Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and other trauma-based symptoms, including long-term relational issues, anxiety, and depression. She works primarily with PTSD, Complex PTSD, and other traumatic struggles. This might show up in relationships, or seemingly “overreacting” to things that might not seem, on the surface, to be a big deal. She utilizes a collaborative approach to meet the specific needs of each person.
