Lareina Cheung, MA
Associate Marriage & Family Therapist
Lareina understands that sometimes it is hard to get through the day without feeling nervous, angry or sad. Or that sometimes due to our struggles, we isolate our friends and family because of our difficulty of getting along. Lareina has a passion in helping people through their pain and suffering by creating a space of acceptance and open respect. She strives to provide a nurturing and safe environment where clients can receive encouragement and non-judgmental support as she walks alongside them to reach their therapeutic goals. Her goal is to help her clients navigate their lives and improve relationships in a healthy way.
She received her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University. As a therapist, Lareina has worked with individuals, children/adolescents, couples, and adults. She has experience in working with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and relational issues. Her areas of interest also include working with Asian Americans and bridging the gap between cultural issues and the importance of mental health. Lareina has training in Gottman’s Level 1 Method Couples Therapy, an intervention she uses to help couples strengthen and deepen emotional connections.
